Job summary

American Trucking Group is seeking CDL-A drivers for flatbed hauling in the Birmingham, AL area. Expect weekly pay between $2,000 and $2,100, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants. The role includes weekend home time, dedicated steel freight, modern equipment, and orientation that pays per day.

Safety and load-securement are essential for success. New drivers will handle live loads and tarping, with most work involving six-foot drop tarps.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license required.
• Minimum one year OTR experience within the last five years.
• Minimum six months flatbed experience required.
• Current coil-hauling certification required.
• Tarping and load-securement experience required.
• Acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Flatbed freight handling with stainless-steel coils and sheets.
• Weekly pay of $2,000–$2,100 with sign-on bonus for qualified drivers.
• Home time every weekend with a 34-hour reset.
• Equipment includes newer Kenworth T680 and 2025 trailer; tarps included in pay program.
