Job summary

American Trucking Group in Birmingham, AL is seeking CDL-A drivers for dedicated flatbed freight. You will haul stainless-steel coils and flat sheets, with backhaul planning to keep freight moving and weekend home time.

Newer equipment includes 2025 Extreme 48-foot flatbed trailers, with paid orientation and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified drivers. Orientation pays $100/day, with hotel and meals provided.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license required.
• Minimum one year OTR experience within the last five years.
• Minimum six months flatbed experience required.
• Steel-hauling experience required.
• Current coil-hauling certification required.
• Tarping and load-securement experience required.
• Acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Haul stainless-steel coils and flat sheets on outbound loads.
• Backhaul planning to minimize empty miles.
• Operate Kenworth T680 with 48-foot flatbed trailers.
