Job summary

J Rose Enterprises is seeking a regional driver to run predictable, year-round routes from Cowpens, SC, with deliveries across several states. Enjoy home weekly with a 34-hour reset, a pay mix including mileage and stop pay, and modern sleeper trucks on a full-time W-2 basis.

Expect to handle 3 loads per week (about 3 stops per load) and hand-unload at customer locations using a roller system. A valid Class A CDL and DOT safety screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Minimum of 3 months of verifiable solo Class A CDL tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must be physically able to hand-unload full trailers via a roller system.
• Must meet DOT safety, background, and drug/alcohol screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 3 loads per week with an average of 3 delivery stops per load.
• Operate top-of-the-line sleeper trucks with automatic transmissions on regional routes.
• Hand-unload trailers using a company-provided roller system at customer locations.
• Take-home truck privileges allowed if a safe parking location is available.
• Home weekly for a reliable 34-hour reset.
• Adhere to home-time windows (Friday night–Saturday or Saturday night–Sunday).

Pay & Compensation

• Weekly Earnings: $1,750 - $2,150 average weekly pay
• Pay Structure: Competitive component pay including mileage pay and stop pay
• Classification: Full-time, W2 position with stable, year-round dedicated freight volume

Schedule & Home Time

• Home Time: Home weekly for a reliable 34-hour rest reset
• Time-Off Windows: Days off typically run either Friday night through Saturday, or Saturday night through Sunday
• Volume: Deliver 3 loads per week, averaging 3 delivery stops per load
• Mileage: Drivers average approximately 1,100 miles per week
• Operating Area: Regional routes originating in Cowpens, SC, with deliveries extending into South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio.

Freight & Equipment

• Freight Type: Dedicated retail freight. This is a touch-freight position requiring drivers to hand-unload trailers using a company-provided roller system at customer retail locations.
• Backhauls: Drivers typically pick up 100% no-touch live loads when backhauling freight to the regional distribution center.
• Equipment: Top-of-the-line sleeper trucks equipped with automatic transmissions, pulling standard 53-foot dry van trailers.
• Parking: Take-home truck privileges are permitted, provided you have a safe and secure parking location. Drivers living close to the Cowpens terminal facility may utilize the secure on-site equipment parking.

Minimum Requirements

• License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Experience: Minimum of 3 months of verifiable solo Class A CDL tractor-trailer driving experience
• Physical Stamina: Must be physically willing and capable of hand-unloading full trailers via a roller conveyor system
• Safety & Background: Must meet standard Department of Transportation (DOT) safety, background, and drug/alcohol screening requirements
• Must live within 120 miles of MtAiry, NC
