Raise is seeking a Decommissioning Advisor/Engineer for on-site work in Spring, TX. This contract role focuses on planning, budgeting, and coordinating end-of-field life activities for assets, ensuring EM standards compliance and strong stakeholder collaboration.

You will support ABEX budgeting, develop scopes of work, and lead gate deliverables while maintaining budget and schedule accountability across internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 5–10 years of Oil & Gas experience focusing on facilities or upstream unconventional.
  • Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication to engage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support End of Field Life Planning optimization and ABEX updates (ARO).
  • Lead ABEX project gate deliverables.
  • Coordinate with Wells, Land, Commercial, Law, Regulatory, Finance, and Global Operations.
  • Ensure smooth transitions between project stages meeting EM standards.
  • Be accountable for overall budget and schedule.

Decommissioning Advisor/Engineer

  • Pay Rate: $77.05 - $88.61/hour (on W2)
  • Contract Length: 12 months
  • Location: Onsite | Spring, TX 77389

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Overview

Support end-of-field life planning and develop scopes of work for EOR assets. This role requires close coordination with various stakeholders; it is expected to leverage the functional expertise of other organizations such as Wells, Land, Commercial, Law, Regulatory, Finance, and Global Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Support End of Field Life Planning optimization and development, including ARO development and updates (Asset Retirement Obligation)
  • Support annual ABEX budget development and planning
  • Lead the development of ABEX project gate deliverables as appropriate
  • Act as an integrator with Wells, Operations, Environmental Solutions, and other functions such as Law, Land & Commercial, Finance and Regulatory
  • Support transitions between project stages, ensuring alignment with and compliance with EM standards and processes.
  • Be accountable for overall budget and schedule
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in an Oil and Gas experience with a focus on facilities or upstream unconventional.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
