Job summary

CANPACK Group is seeking a Night Shift C Crew operator to monitor and run assigned extrusion lines, ensuring production targets are met while adhering to strict safety standards.

Under supervision, you will follow SOPs, perform basic machine operations, conduct quality checks, and maintain 5S workplace organization. You will also report defects and keep safety and GMP compliance across the shift.

Job description

Job Purpose C Crew Nights 7pm-7am Operates, under the supervision of seasoned operator, and monitors the assigned machine to achieve production targets to ensure smooth operations in accordance with all safety standards and protocols.

Duties and Tasks (To be performed in full alignment with CANPACK Core Values: Respect, Safety, Teamwork, Integrity, Quality, and Innovation)
  • Operate assigned machinery and production processes according to standard operating procedures, with emphasis on following all applicable Company’s rules and regulations as it relates to Quality and Safety.
  • Perform routine daily activies.
  • Maintain the area in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Report production output, defects, and operational irregularities following internal reporting standards.
  • Notify minor issues and remove jams to avoid delays in production.
  • Ensure workplace organization and cleanliness in accordance with WCM, Safety, GMP, and BRC standards.
  • Monitor the operating parameters of the assigned machine.
  • Conduct quality checks of products on the assigned machine, identifying defects and non-conformities through visual inspection, measurements as per the Control Plan.
  • Support autonomous maintenance like cleaning, lubrication, and inspections to prevent problems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by direct superiors, in line with the scope of the position and employment agreement.

Qualifications and Education Include any specialized education and qualifications needed to be able to do the job.

Work Experience Clarify the minimum years of total work experience and other relevant work experience required to be able to perform the job Basic Vocational School, General Secondary School. Basic experience in working with machines.

School graduate

Skills Knowledge Ability to follow safety protocols. Capable of handling basic machine functions and controls. Capable of performing visual inspections. Capable of performing basic cleaning and inspection. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety. Knowledge in basic metrology, measuring devices, computer operation, work instruction, machine manual.

Training Include any specific training (both internal and external) needed to do the job.

Language Include the level of required language needed to do the job. Ability to communicate in business language – country specific.

The employee may be required to complete additional training as directed by the Company, in response to operational, quality and/or safety needs, or to meet other business requirements.

Work Independence / Supervision Level Close /Direct Supervision: The employee is assigned to specific tasks with detailed instructions, and the work is checked frequently. Zero Work Independence. No Authority to make decisions.

Communication and Working Relationships Include the communications that are within the position’s holder responsibilities. (e.g., Internally can communicate with all departments, externally can communicate with suppliers’ service providers, customers, governmental entities) Team members, direct supervisors, quality. The employee may be required to engage in additional forms of communication as directed by the Company in alignment with operational requirements and based on business needs.

Decisions Impacted by This Position Take immediate action in case of accidents by halting operations and ensuring proper medical response. Stop the machine due to safety, quality, or technical concerns. The employee may be required to make additional decisions as directed by the Company and/or in consideration of operational, quality and safety requirements.
