Job summary

CGB Enterprises, Inc. in Arkansas is seeking a deckhand-style team member to support safety programs and cargo operations. You will perform deckhand duties, operate equipment, and assist with barge and truck loading while maintaining strict compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.

No prior industrial experience is required, but a reliable work record is preferred. This role involves outdoor work near water, potential 5–20% travel, and a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: none required; preferred 1 year in an industrial environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Fully participate in the company Safety Program and attend daily pre-shift meetings.
• Perform all duties within OSHA, company safety, and environmental regulations; including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Perform deckhand responsibilities e.g., opening, closing, removing and placement of lids, etc.
• Operate a skid loader as needed and includes cleaning of heavy cargo barges when required.
• Perform clean-up of barge once unload is completed by sweeping and/or shoveling.
• Perform the loading and unloading of trucks to specifications, where applicable.
• Complete documentation timely, accurately and legibly.
• Other duties as assigned, including assisting in the general housekeeping of entire work area.
• Report any injuries, accidents, or unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately.
• Operate electric tools, not limited to drills, grinders, saw, hoist, etc.
• Assist with facility maintenance.
