Job summary

Manthey Hospitality’s Pirate Water Taxi in Tampa, FL is hiring deckhands for part-time or full-time roles on the water. This safety-sensitive position supports vessel operations, passenger safety, and ship presentation while delivering a fun guest experience.

You’ll assist the captain with line handling, docking, and navigation, ensure passenger safety during boarding and transport, perform routine cleaning and maintenance, and participate in safety drills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with valid state-issued ID.
• Able to swim 100 yards and tread water for 3 minutes.
• Physically able to lift, carry and assist passengers in emergencies.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong teamwork and situational awareness.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass pre-employment and random USCG drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Support the Captain with line handling, docking and navigation duties.
• Ensure passenger safety during boarding, transport and disembarking.
• Maintain vessel cleanliness (decks, restrooms, seating areas, exterior).
• Assist with fueling, potable water intake and waste removal.
• Participate in safety drills and emergency procedures.
• Provide friendly guest interactions while maintaining safety standards.
• Perform routine maintenance including washing, painting and detailing.

Manthey Hospitality is hiring Deckhands for our Pirate Water Taxi brand. This safety-sensitive role is essential to vessel operations, passenger safety, and maintaining the polished presentation of our water taxi services.

What You'll Do

• Support the Captain with line handling, docking, and navigation duties
