Job summary

Huffman Contractors, LLC is seeking a hardworking Deck Hand to support marine construction operations on barges and workboats. You will assist crane operators, handle rigging, and help with mooring, loading, and securing materials.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • TWIC card required or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to work long hours and travel as required.
  • Strong work ethic and team orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Mooring, anchoring, and securing barges and vessels.
  • Handle ropes, cables, rigging, chains, and lifting equipment.
  • Load, unload, and secure construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist crane and equipment operators during lifting.
  • Support diving operations and maintain dive equipment.
  • Perform general deck maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Operate power tools, pumps, generators, and other equipment.
  • Participate in mobilization/demobilization activities.
  • Follow all safety policies, maintain a clean work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
