Job summary

AET Shore, a Galveston-based offshore vessel operator, seeks a 500t Mate to join its deck crew. You will report to the Captain, supervise deck ratings, and ensure safety, maintenance, and regulatory compliance aboard the LSV and related operations.

Responsibilities include safety meetings, PPE adherence, and overseeing vessel stores, maintenance plans, and readiness of lifesaving and firefighting equipment.

Qualifications

• 500t Mate Merchant mariner credential and TWIC.
• STCW BST certifications including First Aid/CPR, Personal Survival Techniques.
• GMDSS Operator and ARPA familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise deck ratings and ensure safety, regulatory compliance and log upkeep.
• Plan and supervise deck work with safety and STS in mind.
• Maintain vessel stores, PMS, and readiness of lifesaving and firefighting gear.
• Deputize for Captain when needed and supervise deck maintenance.
• Ensure proper storage, procurement references, and vessel equipment upkeep.
