Decatu Surveillance Investigator Trainee

Description

Summary: Under the supervision of surveillance investigators, the trainee uses provided equipment to identify, record, document, and report illegal, unusual, or suspicious activities and policy or procedure violations across gaming, non-gaming, and back-of-the-house areas. Maintains knowledge of current property gaming operations, surveillance SOPs, and company policies.

Essential Functions

  1. Monitor guests' and employees' activities using CCTV systems.
  2. Perform VCR tape changes.
  3. Utilize digital video recording equipment.
  4. Conduct player evaluations, audits, and close watches of specific personnel and departments.
  5. Test for Investigator Level 1 within six months of hire or as required by management.
  6. Engage in continuous self-education to expand job knowledge, including completing quizzes as directed.
  7. Ensure compliance with gaming laws, internal controls, policies, Title 31, and federal regulations.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • One year of experience in law enforcement, security, or surveillance systems operations (preferred).
  • Previous gaming experience (preferred).
  • Problem-solving skills with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate instructions in various formats.
  • Effective communication skills in group and one-on-one settings.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Physical Requirements

  • Color vision (color test may be administered).
  • Visual, auditory, speech, and literacy abilities.
  • Primarily indoor work (>75%).
  • Physical activities include bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing (<25%).
