Job summary

Jobtailor in Wisconsin is seeking a manufacturing associate responsible for deburring and finishing parts, reading blueprints, and ensuring parts meet specifications.

You will self-inspect, log details in our system, and collaborate with the team to reduce waste and improve quality using Lean methods. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and have a valid driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License preferred.
  • Experience reading blueprints to verify configurations.
  • Experience with quality inspection and Lean/continuous improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deburr and finish parts to specification.
  • Read blueprints to verify configuration meets requirements.
  • Self-inspect parts for quality and report any abnormalities.
  • Enter job details into Epicor.
  • Use small machinery, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Follow safety procedures and report safety issues to supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team to apply Lean/CI to reduce waste and improve quality.

Job description

  • Follow standard operating procedures to deburr and finish various types and styles of product from start to finish while sitting or standing.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to verify configuration meets requirements.
  • Self-inspect all parts for quality and report any abnormalities to the Supervisor.
  • Enter job details into Epicor.
  • Use of small machinery, power tools, hand tools.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report any safety-related issues to the Supervisor.
  • Work with team members and others using Lean/Continuous Improvement processes to develop and utilize process improvements that positively impact operations by reducing waste, reducing safety risks and improving quality.
Requirements
  • Ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs. safely
  • Valid Drivers License preferred
