Ushers Machine and Tool Co., Inc. /Aalberts surface technologies - machining solutions is seeking a Deburr Technician for the SECOND SHIFT (Mon-Thu, 3:30 PM–1:30 AM) in South Carolina. You will clean, deburr, and prepare machined parts to meet stringent quality standards for gas turbine components.

The role requires precision, adherence to procedures, and teamwork. You will use hand tools, perform pressure testing, and document build records to support ISO compliance and product quality.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow process drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and clean components using compressed air, water, and deburring methods.
  • Assemble components with wrenches, torque wrenches, and sockets; perform leak testing.
  • Set up and operate flow benches and ensure assemblies meet specs.
  • Engrave serial numbers and maintain build records in the system.

Join our team as a Deburr Technician and play a critical role in delivering exceptional performance to our customers in the industrial gas turbine industry. We are seeking to fill a position on SECOND SHIFT, Monday - Thursday, 3:30 PM - 1:30 AM.

What You’ll Do:
  • Precision Preparation and Cleaning:
    • Prepare and clean components using compressed air, water, and deburring techniques.
    • Use hand tools to remove burrs and ensure parts are flawless.
  • Assembly and Testing:
    • Assemble components precisely using tools like wrenches, torque wrenches, and sockets.
    • Perform pressure testing to detect and address any leaks in product assemblies.
    • Set up and operate flow benches, ensuring assemblies meet performance specifications.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Prepare parts for dye penetrant testing and ensure they meet ISO and customer standards.
    • Engrave serial numbers for identification and maintain detailed build records in our software system.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Monitor and maintain equipment calibration and safety.
    • Assist in achieving production, efficiency, and safety goals while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Must possess a verifiable high school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Sufficient manual dexterity to type and operate the equipment as related to fulfilling assigned duties

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must have speaking ability; and sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics to enable and adequately perform the job
  • Must be able to sit/stand continuously on a daily basis
  • Must be able to twist, turn, bend, and reach freely without pain or discomfort
  • Must have sufficient dexterity in both hands and arms to perform routine operation of equipment
  • Physical activity: Sitting, walking, standing, typing, holding, grasping, etc. approximately 50% of time
  • Bending, reaching outwards and above shoulders, and lifting twenty pounds unassisted approximately 50% of time
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Job activities are generally performed in a lighted, temperature-controlled, and well-ventilated factory environment.
