Job summary

Sanmina Newark, California facility seeks an operator to run manufacturing equipment, weigh and check raw materials, and maintain batch records. The role focuses on deburring, polishing, and assembling parts while working with aluminum, stainless steel, and plastics in a dusty environment.

Safety and accuracy are essential in this ITAR facility. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in manufacturing, basic reading of drawings, and a patient, detail-oriented approach.US Citizen or lawful permanent

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of related work experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings.

• Able to work in a dusty environment and stand for long periods.
• US Citizenship or lawful permanent resident required.

Responsibilities

• Deburr and polish machined parts per drawings.
• Install hardware including dowel pins, helicoils, PEM nuts, and twin-cert.
• Work with aluminum, stainless steel, mild steels, and plastics.
• Use tools: deburr knife, deburr whip, file, sandpaper, Scotch-Brite.
• Operate power tools: orbital sander, belt sander, drill press, arbor press, polishing wheel.
• Maintain inventory records of raw materials used in batch manufacturing.
• Follow safety and quality procedures.

Specializing in precision machining and metal fabrication, our Sanmina Newark, California facility has 15 years experience in both precision and large format solutions for industrial, semiconductor, clean technology and oil & gas markets. We provide comprehensive engineering and test capabilities: from in-house and hydrostatic leak-testing of medium and large format vacuum chambers to machining of precision stainless steel mechanisms. We have the capacity to machine components up to 3 meters. Our metal fabrication services include grinding, vacuum welding, heat treating, plating and anodizing. We can process many advanced materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, ferrous-nonferrous and other exotic alloys.

Job Purpose

Operates equipment used to manufacture products. Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure that batches manufactured contain proper ingredients in proper quantities. Maintains inventory records of raw materials used in batch manufacturing

Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities

• Deburr / polish machined parts per drawing specifications.
• Install hardware to include dowel pins, heli-coil, pem nuts, and twin-cert.
• Must work with aluminum, stainless steel, mild steels, and plastics
• Must be able to use following tools:
• De-burr knife, de-burr whip, file, sand paper, scotch brite.
• Power tools to include orbital sander, belt sander, drill press, arbor press, polishing wheel.

Education And Experience

• Requires a minimum of 1-2 yrs of work related experience
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic reading of technical drawings.
• Team player, positive attitude, ability to multi task, stay calm under pressure and adapt to dynamic situations.
• High attention to detail and precision.
• Be able to work in a dusty environment.
• Work on feet all day.

Salary Range (annual): $43,680 - $47,840 ($21.00 - $23.00) Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
