Blitt and Gaines, P.C. seeks an Associate Attorney to gain extensive courtroom experience through regular appearances on behalf of the firm. The role involves reviewing new claims, managing a personal work list, and supporting all stages of the litigation process.

This position carries no billable hour requirements. Ideal candidates are licensed in Arkansas with potential additional state licenses. Strong communication, independence, and meticulous record-keeping are required, with a competitive

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and Arkansas bar admission are required.
• Additional licenses in other states are valuable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently with strong time management and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Appear in court on behalf of the firm when needed.
• Review new claims for compliance with firm and client standards.
• Review and approve pleadings filed with the courts, including complaints and motions.
• Draft motions and responses for contested matters as needed.
• Argue contested motions and conduct trials and arbitrations.
• Maintain telephonic and written communications with opposing counsel.
• Prepare and respond to discovery or oversee counterclaims.
