Nestled between the front and back nine of DeBordieu Club’s prestigious golf course, the Turn Room is a vibrant pit stop where members recharge, refuel, and reconnect. It's more than just a snack bar — it’s a vital part of the Club experience, offering quick bites, refreshing beverages, and warm, friendly service that keeps our golfers coming back round after round.

A blend of casual convenience and top-notch service, the Turn Room plays a key role in our members’ day on the course. Whether it’s grabbing a cold drink, picking up a made-to-order sandwich, or enjoying a quick conversation with our staff, this space is all about creating seamless, enjoyable moments throughout the game.

Requirements

The Turn Room Attendant is an essential part of the golf experience at DeBordieu Club. This hands-on role supports the Food & Beverage team by providing quick, friendly service to members and guests as they make their way through the course. We believe the energy, attentiveness, and behind-the-scenes effort in this position add the extra touch that turns a simple stop into a memorable part of the day on the course.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Vibrantly greets and acknowledges every member and guest in a friendly and timely manner that is warm and welcoming.
  • Adhere to high standards of safety, sanitation, and cleanliness at all times.
  • Provide outstanding service with a smile to members and their guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Anticipate member needs and go above and beyond to ensure an exceptional experience.
  • Ability to work efficiently during high-volume and fast-paced periods, maintaining professionalism and quality service.
  • Prepare and serve basic food items such as sandwiches, hot dogs, and snacks.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the Point-of-Sale (POS) system with strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of alcohol service.
  • Perform cleaning, restocking, opening and closing duties.
  • Complete assigned side work and check out with the closing manager before leaving or clocking out.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School/GED
  • Minimum of one year work experience in a restaurant or food establishment.
  • The ability to read, write and execute basic math skills.

Licenses and Special Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older as alcohol service is a key part of this role.
  • Strong knowledge of responsible alcohol service and ability to identify underage patrons.
  • Food safety certification is a plus.
  • Country Club or Golf Club experience is a plus but not required.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • CPR/AED and/or First Aid Certification a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Required to stand for long periods and walks, climbs stairs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, bends, stretches and twists or reaches.
  • Pushes, pulls or lifts up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous repetitive motions.
  • Works in a hot, humid and noisy environment.

PT/FT Hourly, Non-Exempt
