Dean - School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering and Applied Science (AMEAS)

The Dean serves as the principal academic and administrative leader of the designated School, working to achieve the College’s mission and strategic plan initiatives. Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, scheduling, staffing, curriculum development, instruction, program and instructional quality, student academic success, and other academic matters. The Dean actively promotes the School and College to students, industry partners, parents, professional organizations, secondary and post-secondary articulation partners, and other stakeholders. The Dean may also deliver classes as needed, in accordance with College policy and course objectives.

This position involves identifying opportunities and challenges in collaboration with Corporate College, especially regarding economic sectors, workforce needs, and instructional resources, aligning with the College’s Strategic Plan. The Dean performs all essential functions outlined below.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of applicable industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years of related teaching experience
  • Meets faculty credentials per ASOM 7.1 for at least one program within the division
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and currency in the field
  • Demonstrated competency in supervision and leadership
  • A combination of industry and teaching/training experience may be considered in lieu of specific years’ experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with secondary and post-secondary partnerships or community collaborations
  • Contributions to the community and profession, such as involvement in workforce development initiatives or industry councils
