Job summary

Kentucky State University is seeking an accomplished Dean of Students to provide strategic leadership for student success, engagement, and well-being on the Frankfort campus.

Reporting to the Vice Provost of Student Affairs, the Dean will oversee Student Conduct, Residence Life, Student Engagement and Activities, and Career Services, guiding policies and programs while ensuring compliance and crisis response readiness.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel Administration, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in higher education, including at least three (3) years of supervisory experience of exempt professional staff.
• Experience in student conduct, residence life, student engagement, or student services leadership is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides executive leadership for the development, implementation, and evaluation of student success, engagement, conduct, residential life, and career development programs and services.
• Provides direct supervision, mentorship, and evaluation of administrative leaders within Student Affairs functional areas.
• Ensures compliance with University policies, accreditation standards, and applicable federal and state regulations (FERPA, Clery Act, ADA).
