Job summary

The School District of Lee County in Fort Myers, Florida seeks a Dean of Student Discipline for Estero High School. The position is part-time and focused on maintaining safe, fair, and consistent student discipline while aligning with district policies and state law.

Responsibilities include investigating incidents, presenting cases, and coordinating with families, staff, and external agencies to uphold the Student Code of Conduct and attendance programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Valid Florida teaching certificate.
• Educational leadership or admin certification preferred.
• Three years of Highly Effective/Effective teaching experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with protecting the health and welfare of students.
• Maintain fair, reasonable, and consistent student discipline.
• Assist students in establishing high standards of conduct.
• Implement programs related to the Student Code of Conduct and attendance.
• Investigate and monitor infractions of the Student Code of Conduct.
• Schedule conferences with parents/guardians and teachers.
• Present the school’s case in due process proceedings for suspensions.
• Maintain disciplinary records in line with policies and SESIR.
