Reporting to the Vice President for Administrative Services, the Dean of Students manages, oversees, and directs the efforts of several departments in the Student Affairs Division, including the Student Success Center, Freshman Studies Office, the Intramural Sports Program, the Office of Student Activities, Judicial Affairs and Housing, and Residence Life.
The position requires an energetic and creative leader with demonstrated skills in writing, leadership, management, and collaborative work. The candidate must be student-centered, accessible, and open to students. They must be able to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators, and serve as a liaison between student affairs and academic affairs. The incumbent must be able to lead change when necessary, be committed to continuous improvement, and have a clear understanding of growing trends in student affairs with documented evidence of success working with college students.
