Merrimack College invites applications for a Dean of Experiential Learning, Career Development and Employer Partnerships to lead the integrated strategy for experiential learning, career development and employer engagement.

The Dean will provide strategic and operational leadership for the O’Brien Center for Career & Professional Development and the Scammon Center for Experiential Learning, with staff reporting to this position.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field required.
• Significant progressive experience in experiential learning or related areas.
• Demonstrated success building relationships with employers and partners.
• Experience leading teams and managing complex initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and data-reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead institution-wide strategy for experiential learning, career development, employer engagement, and career readiness.
• Provide leadership for the O’Brien Center and Scammon Center and align operating models.
• Develop a unified vision and priorities across centers.
• Measure success with data on student participation, employer engagement, and outcomes.
• Expand Merrimack’s employer relationships in Greater Boston and New England.
• Integrate career development with experiential learning across majors.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team and ensure staffing aligns with priorities.
• Communicate impact to senior leadership and external partners.
• Build partnerships with faculty, alumni, and employers.
