Job summary

St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH seeks an Assistant Vice President Academic Affairs/Dean to oversee academic education programs, strategize planning, assessment, and development to meet accreditation and regulatory standards. This role reports to the VP of Patient Care Services/CNO.

The AVP/Dean leads curriculum oversight, faculty governance, budgeting, and the Clinical Education Department for Nursing, guiding ASN/BSN programs and related disciplines.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of management experience and experience as a nursing instructor.
• NH Registered Nurse license required.
• Master's degree in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Supports and promotes the Covenant Health mission and values.
• Provides strategic planning to advance nursing workforce development.
• Communicates clearly with internal and external constituents.
• Articulates and advances the goals of the St. Joseph School of Nursing and St. Joseph Hospital.
• Establishes partnerships with local, state, regional and national organizations to advance nursing education.
• Ensures policy handbooks reflect evidence-based practice and national standards, aligned with SJH and Covenant culture.
• Conducts curriculum review and program evaluation to ensure rigor and outcomes.
• Uses shared governance to empower faculty in curriculum and policy decisions.
• Maintains national accreditation and program approvals at state and national levels.
• Plans for and evaluates staffing needs, budget, and faculty workload.
