Located along the Merrimack River in Lowell, the university has a rich history dating back to 1894. It is ranked No. 84 among national public universities, with nearly 18,000 students and over 600 faculty. UMass Lowell offers numerous undergraduate and graduate programs, with a focus on experiential learning, including co-ops, service learning, and research.
