Exciting career opportunity for a Critical Facility Technician-Carpenter to join one of the region’s fastest growing companies.

Responsibilities

The Carpenter is responsible for performing a variety of carpentry duties as assigned. Carpentry services include, but are not limited to, the design, construction, installation, and repair of wooden fixtures and structures such as cabinets, furniture, shelving, doors, plaques, and other custom wood products. Other duties include, but are not limited to, framing and finish work, painting, and staining. The Carpenter monitors subcontractor performance as assigned, conducts jobsite troubleshooting, and performs primary project layout and carpentry production.

Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of prior experience.
  2. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
  3. Ability to construct metal framing partition walls, including drywall finishing and painting to a level 5 finish.
  4. Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
  5. Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to the trade.
  6. Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  7. Records maintenance skills.
  8. Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
  9. Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
  10. Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
  11. Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  12. Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  13. May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
  14. Ability to recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
  15. Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  16. Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
  17. Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  18. Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
