Job summary

Mercer University seeks a Dean for the College of Professional Advancement (CoPA) to provide strategic leadership and advance the college's mission of expanding access to higher education for working adults and non-traditional learners. The Dean will champion flexible delivery, applied curricula, and meaningful credentialing, guiding program development and student success.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean will have a terminal degree and demonstrated

Qualifications

• Terminal degree from an accredited institution in a field relevant to the College's academic portfolio.
• Credentials sufficient for appointment as a tenured full professor within one of the College’s departments.
• Significant progressive leadership experience in higher education, with demonstrated responsibility for academic programs, innovation, personnel, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Oversee academic quality, strategic direction, financial health, and operational effectiveness of the College of Professional Advancement.
• Grow programs, forge community and industry partnerships, and position the College as a regional and national leader in adult learning.
• Translate the needs of non-traditional students into strategic program development and student success.
