Job summary

Concordia University, Nebraska seeks a Dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences who will serve as the chief academic and executive leader of CEHHS, reporting to the Provost. The Dean will shape the college's mission, strategy, and resource allocation while upholding the university's Christ-centered Lutheran identity.

Responsibilities include advancing accreditation, guiding faculty development, and strengthening external partnerships with schools and churches.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate from an accredited institution.
• Proven record of excellent university teaching, scholarship and service.
• Academic leadership and management experience in higher education.
• Experience teaching and leading in PK-12 schools.
• Knowledge of accreditation processes.
• Member of a congregation of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod.

Responsibilities

• Promote Concordia's Lutheran identity through college programs.
• Articulate vision for departments and align to priorities.
• Oversee undergraduate and graduate education programs meeting accreditation.
• Lead faculty recruitment, evaluation, and development.
• Collaborate with university offices for student recruitment and retention.
• Represent the college to external constituencies and donors.
• Provide financial leadership and budget oversight.
• Teach courses as approved by the Provost.
