Summary Of Essential Job Functions

Provides effective leadership in the organization, administration, and supervision of student management, student safety and student discipline.

Qualifications

Educational: Master's degree required.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years teaching experience and experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity. Must possess successful experiences working with a diverse population of students and faculty.

Essential Duties And Respoinsibliites

  • Provides leadership and monitors accountability of students' behavior
  • Ensures that students' ISPs are in compliance.
  • Ensures compliance with Suspended to School, Suspensions, and Expulsions expectations.
  • Develops measures to achieve effective implementation, proper evaluation, and continuous improvement of instruction.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of RTI (Response To Intervention)
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, staff members, and building personnel.
  • Demonstrates a high level of support and enthusiasm for the IPS culture imperatives and core values.
  • Actively commits to and participate in professional development.
  • Preserves and protects opportunity and equity for all children.
  • Professionally assumes other duties or responsibilities as directed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES: Yes

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Indiana License for School Administration and Supervision.
