Job summary

Metro Ford in Independence, MO is seeking a Service Department Lube Technician to join a fast-paced team. The ideal candidate has some vehicle experience and can multitask, with no formal training required.

Responsibilities include inspections, basic maintenance, minor repairs, and documenting work, plus communicating with service advisors when timing or scope changes. Must have a valid driver’s license; MVI license within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• General automotive service including oil changes, flushes, basic maintenance, tire rotation & repairs, inspections and other repairs as per repair order.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• MVI license required or obtaining license within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year in service department.

Service Department Lube Technician

Metro Ford in Independence MO is seeking a Lube Technician. This is a very fast paced opportunity that requires the ability to multitask at a high level. The right individual has some experience around vehicles but does not require formal training.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform vehicle inspections, basic maintenance, minor repairs, and documentation.
• Communicate with service advisor when additional repairs are needed or when repairs cannot be completed in the scheduled time period.
• Inspect vehicles to ensure that all features function properly.
• Perform Missouri Vehicle Inspections.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Automotive maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• MVI license required or obtaining license within 30 days of hire.

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
