Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Mississippi is hiring as a casino dealer. You will handle specific table games with accuracy, follow house policies, and ensure compliance with Gaming regulations.

You will work to maintain guest satisfaction while upholding safety and security of guests and staff. The position requires a 21+ age minimum, completion of approved training for the assigned game, and ability to obtain gaming licenses as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalence is required.
  • Successful completion of an approved course of study in the game for which licensed as a dealer.
  • Proven knowledge and experience on the assigned game required. (Lengths of experience should be commensurate with the level of skill required for the specific game.)
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming licenses as determined by the Mississippi Gaming Commission for the position.
  • Ability to read simple instructions. Knowledge of gaming laws and regulations. Good communication skills. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment.
  • Ability to do assigned job duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures.
  • Always maintain a pleasant, friendly and welcoming attitude. Have complete knowledge of all events and promotional activities.

Responsibilities

  • Dealing a specific table game accurately and professionally according to house rules.
  • Notify Box Person or Floor Supervisor when game decisions are required.
  • Exchange currency for gaming chips and pay or collect bets per house rules.
  • Report disputes to Floor Supervisor or Manager.
  • Analyze customer play for cheating or suspicious activity to ensure guest and staff safety.
  • Pay wins.
  • Support and maintain courtesy guidelines at all times.
  • Promote outstanding guest relations.
  • Protect and control of the game.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
