Nationaldb is excited to invite applications for the SSP/CoNavigator Coordinator position, which plays a vital role in enhancing communication for DeafBlind individuals. This full-time position involves coordinating services, conducting training in ASL and Haptics, and fostering community partnerships.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and substantial experience in the DeafBlind community. The role is based in New York, offering a supportive work environment with generous benefits.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5 years of experience working with DeafBlind individuals.
• Direct knowledge of Support Service Provider (SSP) services.
• Experience with program coordination is highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate SSPs and CoNavigators for DeafBlind consumers.
• Provide communication accessibility training.
• Execute targeted recruitment strategies for potential SSPs.

Conocimientos

Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Communication skills

Understanding of DeafBlind culture

Educación

Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, Human Services, or related field

5 years of experience working with DeafBlind individuals
