Helen Keller Services (HKS) in New York is seeking a full-time SSP/CoNavigator Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of a Support Service Provider program for DeafBlind consumers. The position requires strong coordination and communication skills, as well as fluency in American Sign Language (ASL).

Formación

• 5 years of experience working with DeafBlind individuals.
• Experience with Support Service Provider (SSP) services.
• Fluency in ASL is required.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate SSPs, CoNavigators, and volunteers for DeafBlind consumers.
• Provide training in communication accessibility.
• Document program strategies and maintain program records.

Conocimientos

Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Direct experience with DeafBlind individuals

Program coordination skills

Knowledge of Tactile American Sign Language (TASL)

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, Human Services, etc.
