Job summary

Pediastaff is seeking an experienced Deaf & Hard of Hearing Teacher for the 2026-27 school year in the Oswego, IL area. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7:30-3:00, across multiple grade levels as needed to support students.

You will plan and deliver specialized instruction, collaborate with school teams, monitor progress, and provide assistive technology support to enhance communication and inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Deaf Education and an active teaching license.
  • Experience teaching Deaf or hard of hearing students preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate with therapists and school staff.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting curriculum to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech therapists, and other support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining detailed records and communicating with families and educational teams.
  • Provide assistive technology support and implement strategies to enhance communication.
  • Travel onsite as required across grade levels within the school to support students effectively.
  • Work to develop teaching strategies, approaches, specialist materials and resources to support deaf pupils.

NOW HIRING EXPERIENCED Deaf & Hard of Hearing Teacher for 2026-27 School year in the vicinity of Oswego, IL* Full-time position split* Hours: M-F 7:30-3:00pmQualifications:You will need to have a degree in Deaf Education and state teaching licenseRole Overview:Teachers of the Hard of Hearing plan and provide learning experiences for students with disabilities, including cognitive, emotional, or physical disabilities, in a variety of educational settings.
