Job summary

CSDB, the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind, seeks a School Speech-Language Pathologist to provide language instruction for Deaf/hoh students, including those with vision loss. Emphasis on ASL and English as equal languages.

The role requires collaboration with the Student Services team, development of IEP-based objectives, and delivery of diagnostic evaluations and communication habilitation strategies. Licensure eligibility, CCC or PRAXIS plan, and ASL proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Must hold or be eligible for Colorado SSP licensure as School SLP.
• ASHA status or PRAXIS eligibility within 1 year.
• Experience with Deaf/hard-of-hearing students preferred.
• ASL proficiency required; Advanced level within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language services to Preschool through Transition-age Deaf/HOH students with possible vision loss.
• Design and implement IEP-aligned therapy plans and maintain records.
• Support bilingual ASL-English access and literacy development.
• Collaborate with educational team and participate in meetings and outreach.
