Job summary

FSA Federal is seeking a Diversion Litigation Attorney/Senior Law Clerk to support the DEA mission. This onsite role in Arlington, VA requires U.S. citizenship and a Bar certification with a JD, and focuses on high-level legal research, writing, and coordination with investigators.

You will review reports, draft memoranda and briefs, develop training curricula, and handle correspondence. The position demands strong writing, organizational skills, and the ability to perform under pressure in a

Qualifications

• Bar certification with Law degree.
• Two years post-JD experience.
• Experience with LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; teamwork.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to the attorney while reviewing the work of paralegals and clerks.
• Performs expert legal research and writing at a high level on extremely sophisticated issues.
• Reviews investigative reports and prepares summaries for review.
• Conducts high-level analysis of facts, evidence, and legal authorities.
• Drafts persuasive memoranda, motions, and briefs.
• Drafts reports, training curricula, and responses to correspondence.
• Prepares correspondence for signatures and coordinates with support components.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Background in administrative rulemaking preferred.
