GENERAL FUNCTION:

As a De Novo Financial Center Manager (DFCM), you are responsible for representing Fifth Third Bank within the communities we serve to create a positive brand perception and actively engage to build relationships inside/outside the walls of the financial center. Maintain a business development mindset, spending a minimum of 3-5 hours per week on community activities to attract and grow a robust customer base. Coach, lead by example, and enable your team to develop continuously while leveraging our consultative sales and service model to provide an excellent customer experience. Collaborate to build, increase, and strengthen the financial center's book of business, including hosting financial and community events with One Bank partners, and overseeing sales support, daily operations, staffing, etc.

Responsible and accountable for risk management by openly sharing ideas, raising concerns, and adhering to policies and procedures. Always prioritize doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, ensuring actions and behaviors foster a positive customer experience. Achieve results by identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks within the Bank's risk appetite.

The Financial Center Manager will undergo a comprehensive onboarding and education program, including rotations in Operations, Sales & Service, Lending, Small Business, and Management. This program prepares candidates for a Financial Center Manager role. Upon successful completion, the FCMA will be placed in a Financial Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Community Engagement & Business Development: Actively participate in local chambers, community groups, and events to promote Fifth Third Bank. Develop a business plan targeting local influencers, detailing relationship-building strategies, and measuring partnership strength to drive new customer acquisition. Provide excellent customer service, including needs assessments and customer satisfaction evaluations. Lead community-beneficial activities and exemplify the consultative sales process to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Grow and deepen customer relationships through memorable experiences.
  2. Training & Development: Complete the FCMA roadmap and onboarding activities, including a Consultative Selling Skills Certification. Become proficient in deepening customer relationships, understanding Fifth Third's products and services, and developing an integrated book of business strategy. Learn to source, develop, coach, and lead a team aligned with our core values and business strategies. Foster a One Bank culture through collaboration with business partners.
  3. Community Benefits & Ethical Conduct: Participate in community activities and adhere to the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, modeling ethical behavior.
  4. Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide timely, candid, and constructive feedback to employees, support their development, recognize achievements, and assist in talent development and succession planning.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • College degree or equivalent leadership experience in a sales environment preferred.
  • Financial industry experience and P&L management preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to represent Fifth Third Bank professionally.
  • Ability to analyze credit and financial information.
  • Proven success in executing and coaching sales activities.
  • Business acumen and sound decision-making abilities.
  • S.A.F.E. Act registration via NMLS required at employment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Standard office environment.
  • 3-5 hours daily in outside business development activities.
  • Extended computer use and periodic travel within the Bancorp footprint for meetings and training.
