Responsibilities

• Perform defoliation in the flower rooms, removing excess leaves to support airflow, light penetration, and healthy plant growth.
• Inspect plants during defoliation for signs of pests, disease, or health issues and flag anything that doesn't meet standard.
• Follow standard operating procedures and supervisor direction to maintain consistency across the flower rooms.
• Handle plants carefully to avoid damage and maintain product quality.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with state and company sanitation standards.
• Support other flower room tasks as needed during the shift.

Flower Room Associate
Looking to get your start in cannabis cultivation? Our client — an established name in the cannabis industry — is hiring Flower Room Associates to join their growing team in Oglesby, IL. You'll work directly in the flower rooms, playing a key hands-on role in keeping plants healthy and production moving, with plenty of room to build cultivation skills along the way.
Pay Rate: $17.50/hr
Location: Oglesby, IL
Job Type: Full Time | Non-Exempt
Shift: Monday - Thursday | 6:45am - 5:15pm

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods (8-10+ hours per shift)
• Frequent, repetitive use of hands and wrists
• Repetitive bending, squatting, and reaching
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional heavier lifts assisted
• Comfortable wearing required PPE (masks, hairnets, beard covers, gloves, non-slip shoes, and other protective gear as necessary)

Work Environment

• Exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and strong plant odors
• Exposure to soil, water, fertilizer, dust, pollen, and plant pathogens
