Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health seeks a Milieu Specialist to de‑escalate and support patient-facing inquiries, serving as a role model for care providers in the milieu. This role emphasizes patient rights, safety, and quality improvements within Rogers’ mission and policies.

As a preceptor for Mental Health Technicians, you will coach staff on topics like belongings searches, milieu management, and crisis response, while maintaining accurate incident documentation and collaborating across departments

Qualifications

• Two years healthcare experience in patient safety or risk management.
• Knowledge of de-escalation and milieu management techniques.
• Familiarity with patient incident reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite advocate to manage complaints and grievances and facilitate resolutions.
• Record, track and ensure timely completion of all incidents.
• Coach staff in managing aggressive behaviors and during crisis events.
• Collaborate with departments to improve processes and uphold patient rights.
• Precept Mental Health Technicians on topics like milieu management and safety protocols.
