Responsibilities

• Perform case officer duties which may include assessments using required state tools including ASI and validated risk/needs assessment.
• Attend/testify in courts.
• Participate in the development and promotion of the program.
• Assist in the design of program objectives and content.
• Research and suggest alternative program management approaches.
• Review instructional materials and media for potential use in programs.
• Disseminate program information through pamphlets, conferences, meetings to gain support.
• Deliver, evaluate and analyze programs and services.
• Analyze data to identify aspects of successful operations.
• Prepare analytical and interpretative reports for management.
• Consult with field experts to gather program information.
• Keep abreast of current developments and trends.
• Coordinate community resources and placement in specialized programs as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and write narrative and statistical reports.

Job description

The candidate will be asked to perform professional, technical, and analytical work involved in the development, evaluation, and promotion of the Dual Disorders Services arm of Community Corrections/State Trial Court division.

This class has non-supervisory responsibilities over employees and/or interns involved in a program or programs for which the incumbent is responsible. This classification receives direction and reports to the Program Manager.

• Perform case officer duties as required which may include conducting assessments utilizing required state assessment tools including, but not limited to, addiction severity index (ASI) and Validated Risk/Needs Assessment upon certification.
• Attend/testify/cover courts.
• Participating in the development and promotion of the program.
• Assist in the development and design of program objectives and content.
• Research and recommends alternative methods of program management to identify possible alternative approaches or evaluate current techniques.
• May review instructional materials, methods, and media for possible use in programs.
• May participate in the dissemination of program information through designing pamphlets, attending conferences, seminars, meetings, etc., in order to promote, publicize and gain support for the program(s).
• Participates in the delivery, evaluation and analysis of programs and services.
• Performs analysis of data to identify aspects of successful program operations.
• May prepare analytical and interpretative reports for management.
• May consult with field experts to ascertain program related information.
• Keeps abreast of current developments and trends.
• Performs specialized services including teaching cognitive behavior curricula.
• May coordinate community resources.
• May recommend placement of clients in specialized programs as needed.
• Performs general administrative duties.
• Keeps accurate records.
• Writes narrative and statistical reports and letters.
• Other assigned duty as directed.
