Job summary

Buckeye Fire Equipment Co. in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a Production Associate to operate extrusion presses, inspect cylinders, and document hourly output. This full-time role requires attention to safety rules and PPE compliance.

You will stand for long periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and work with supervision to maintain quality standards. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with related experience acceptable.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must wear PPE and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operates cylinder extrusion presses, loading metal plates into the machine and unloading cylinders.
• Performs dimensional and visual inspection of cylinders produced.
• Tracks hourly production, makes calculations, and records results clearly.
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Job Location: Corporate Office - Kings Mountain, NC 28086

Position Type: Full Time

Full-time employees are eligible for a weekly attendance bonus! Eligible employees can receive an additional $1 per hour, for every hour worked, in addition to their hourly wages for working their scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

• Operates cylinder extrusion presses, which includes loading metal plates into the machine and unloading cylinders produced by the machine
• Dimensional and visual inspection of cylinders produced
• Tracks hourly production, makes calculations, and legibly records results
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret document such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, and able to walk, reach up and reach down.
• Able to lift 35 lbs., and able to swing a dead blow hammer to tighten machine screws
• Accountable for maintaining a safe work environment
• Wear all required PPE associated with the material.
• Ability to speak effectively to co-workers.
