Job summary

HP Hood in Concord, NH is seeking a Route Driver to join our delivery team. A current CDL-A, clean MVR, up-to-date medical card and at least one year of driving experience are required to operate our routes in Central/Southern NH and Northern MA.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available and safety, reliability and professional conduct are emphasized. Responsibilities include safe vehicle operation, route familiarity, timely deliveries, accurate logs, and coordination with the Distribution Supervisor

Qualifications

• Requires a current CDL-A license and a clean MVR.
• Must have a valid DOT medical card.
• One year driving experience or equivalent classroom qualification.
• Strong safety and customer service mindset.
• Ability to pass a DOT exam.

Responsibilities

• Operate the company vehicle safely and in compliance with all regulations.
• Be familiar with the delivery route and product handling requirements.
• Represent the Company in a courteous, ethical and professional manner at all times.
• Maintain a vehicle operation log and report maintenance or issues to the Distribution Supervisor daily.
• Deliver products ordered in a timely manner and report improvements or problems to the supervisor daily.
• Keep accurate, daily records of accounts and collected cash.
• Work independently while supporting the Distribution Department.
• Collaborate cooperatively with managers, supervisors and peers.

Job Summary:

The Route Driver family of positions requires a current valid CDL-A, a satisfactory MVR (Motor Vehicle Record), an up-to-date medical card, and one years’ driving experience or equivalent classroom qualification. Must have a neat, clean appearance and the ability to pass a DOT (Department of Transportation) exam.

Schedule: 5 day work week schedule with rotating days off.

Coverage area: Central/Southern NH, Northern MA

Sign-on bonus: $10,000

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe operation of the Company vehicle while complying with all company, State and Federal regulations.
• Have a good, working knowledge of the assigned delivery route and be familiar with product handling requirements.
• Must represent the Company in a courteous, ethical and professional manner at all times.
• Must keep a vehicle operation log and report any necessary maintenance or other problems to the Distribution Supervisor daily and complete all necessary reports as required by DOT and HP Hood LLC.
• Deliver all products ordered in a timely manner and advise the Distribution Supervisor of any recommendations for improvements or problems needing attention on a daily basis.
• Keep accurate, daily records of accounts and collected cash.
• Must be able to work independently while supporting the Distribution Department.
• Work in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors and peers.

General Requirements:

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Able to demonstrate knowledge of safety areas reviewed in the safety orientation program.
• Execute assigned duties with minimal supervision.
• Perform assigned duties satisfactorily and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean & safe work environment.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Reading & writing proficiency (English language) and ability to identify colors.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Multi-tasked Individual.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
