Job summary

Community Resources for Independence (CRI) is seeking a DCW Supervisor in Indiana, PA to oversee daily operations, supervise Direct Care Workers, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while supporting high-quality client services.

The role includes leading training programs, coordinating scheduling, maintaining qualifications, and participating in safety initiatives. A strong background in supervision, caregiving, and EVV systems is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have a high-school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience supervising and providing direct care to individuals with disabilities and/or the elderly.
• Ability to satisfactorily pass Act 33, Act 34, and FBI Clearances.
• Satisfactory driver's record, valid driver's license, and regular and reliable vehicle availability.
• Be 18 years of age or older and legally able to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, hands-on training and support Direct Care Workers (DCWs) in the completion of their duties to accomplish the CRI Mission; serve as a DCW backup as needed.
• Develop and maintain a professional and friendly working relationship with DCWs and other staff, fostering a positive work environment and employee morale.
• Orient new DCWs and ensure smooth transition to CRI practices; conduct supervisor meetings as needed.
• Identify training needs of new and existing DCWs and participate in developing training topics; oversee scheduling and conduct training.
• Coordinate with Scheduling Coordinator to review time off, availability, and appropriate hours for DCWs.
• Maintain employee qualifications and documentation to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Use coaching techniques and administer staff warnings as approved by HR.
• Complete employee evaluations and regular DCW updates regarding progress toward goals.
• Participate in Safety Committee meetings and enforce safety initiatives; address safety concerns.
• Perform direct care duties as needed, including demonstrations or fill-ins.
• Complete intake visits with new clients and oversee client services with case managers to ensure high quality service.
• Complete incident reports timely and accurately.
• Manage recruitment, interviewing, hiring and orientation of DCWs for the service area.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and manage DCW on-call schedule.
