In this role as the DCS Business Development Manager for the Pulp & Paper local Business Line for North America, you will be responsible for supporting the sales of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) solutions for new system opportunities as well as upgrades and expansions to existing systems.

This is a remote position, and successful candidates reside in the Midwestern, Eastern or Southern United States. Successful candidate will need to be located within 90 minutes of an airport that has reasonable flight options to the rest of the US.

The work model for the role is: Remote.

This role is contributing to the Pulp & Paper Local Business line with the Process Automation Process Industries Division for North America.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Responsibilities
  • Helping develop and implementing the sales support strategy for Distributed Control Systems (DCS) products and services for our North American Pulp and Paper Sale and Business Development organization.
  • Creating and conducting product demonstrations, training sessions, and sales technical presentations for customers and the P&P sales team.
  • Supporting the ABB P&P Automation Roadshow for DCS focused visits.
  • Developing the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions to meet customer needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years relevant work experience required or an Associate’s Degree and 9 years of relevant work experience required or HS Diploma and 11 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Significant experience with Distributed Control Systems is required. Experience with ABB’s 800xA DCS preferred. Experience with ABB’s legacy DCS systems (Advant and/or Bailey) is a plus.
  • 2+ years experience working within the P&P industry as a supplier in a sales related or service support related role.
  • Previous experience in a sales support or direct sales role is a plus.
  • Competency using MS Office products with strong skills using Excel.
  • Ability to travel 50% as needed.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
