DC Truck Driver - Clackamas GM (Finance)

Safely transport goods to stores and customers of the distribution trucking company. Perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Ability to travel independently
  • Ability to follow instructions in written, verbal, or diagram form
  • Problem-solving skills in standardized situations
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Valid Commercial Class A CDL driver's license
  • Meet all Federal Department of Transportation physical requirements
  • Familiarity with trucking terms and processes
  • Ability to back 53' trailers safely into docks or vendor locations
  • Ability to operate tractors, refrigeration units, dollies, and pallet jacks
  • At least 1 year of active driving experience, including doubles experience or equivalent

Desired previous experience:

  • One year of Tractor/Trailer driving experience

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive truck to deliver goods to stores and customers

  • Check refrigeration trailers for malfunctions
  • Weigh loads and unload merchandise
  • Pick up goods at vendor locations and verify products and quantities
  • Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends
