Job description

Safely transport goods to stores and customers for the distribution trucking company. Perform all tasks safely, following corporate policies and state and federal laws. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Ability to travel independently
  • Capability to follow written, verbal, or diagram instructions
  • Problem-solving skills in standardized situations
  • Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures
  • Proficiency in writing routine reports and communicating effectively in small groups
  • Valid Commercial Class A CDL driver's license and compliance with DOT physical requirements
  • Familiarity with trucking terminology and processes
  • Ability to back 53' trailers safely into docks or vendor locations
  • Operation of equipment such as tractors, refrigeration units, dollies, and pallet jacks
  • At least one year of active driving experience, including doubles experience or equivalent

Desired previous experience:

  • One year of tractor/trailer driving experience

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving trucks to deliver goods to stores and customers
  • Adhering to safety standards and inspecting trucks before, during, and after trips
  • Checking refrigeration units for malfunctions
  • Weighing loads and unloading merchandise at stores
  • Picking up goods at vendor locations and verifying products and quantities
  • Maintaining flexibility to work any shift, including weekends
  • Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Performing basic math calculations and interpreting data as needed
