Job summary

Sephora’s Mississippi Distribution Center is seeking a DC Specialist to perform operational office and clerical duties, including waveplanning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting. The role requires knowledge of warehouse operations and strong attention to detail.

You will train associates, follow SOPs, ensure safety, and maintain excellent customer service across internal and external teams. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with ability to work flexible hours and lift up to 50

Qualifications

  • Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) or similar systems.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office.
  • Ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Follow SOPs to ensure accuracy and output.
  • Train floor associates on procedures.
  • Respond to leadership directions and adapt to shifts and overtime.
  • Maintain safety and PPE standards and report hazards.
  • Provide high-quality internal and external customer service.
  • Prepare professional correspondence and reports.

Summary:


DC Specialists perform a variety of operational office and clerical duties including waveplanning, delivery scheduling, order tracking, auditing, paperwork management, and generating departmental reports, depending upon the department and function they are assigned. A thorough knowledge of the operations for the department they are assigned to is essential.


Essential Functions of Job:



  • Follow all established company standard operating procedures to ensure integrity of assigned work and production output.

  • Train floor associates in departmental preferred methods and standard operating procedures.

  • Pro-actively respond to direction from leadership team, including Shift Coordinators, management staff and other departmental personnel.

  • Follow all Company, state and OSHA safety rules, policies and regulations to ensure safe working practices, including proper work attire; report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.

  • Comply with all Company Loss Prevention policies and procedures, including proper work attire.

  • Maintain regular and acceptable attendance as set by Sephora.

  • Maintain a flexible work schedule and adhere to the requirement of working any designated shift and overtime as requested per business and operational needs.

  • Provide high quality internal and external customer service per company standards.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Previous experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or previous experience with menu-driven applications, and/or ability to learn system.

  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Detail-oriented.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with associates and vendors at multiple levels both in person, on the phone and in writing.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to understand other functions of the business as they apply to position.

  • Flexible to change and able to handle multiple priorities.

  • Ability to prepare professional level correspondence.

  • Must be proactive to business needs.

  • Ability to give and receive feedback effectively.

  • Moderate but varying temperature and humidity in office and warehouse environments.


Physical Requirements:



  • Must be able to stand, sit, squat, lift and /or walk for the duration of the scheduled shift.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Previous experience working in a distribution center/warehouse environment preferred.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

The actual hourly pay offered depends on various factors, including starting wages competitive to the market for similar roles; relevant qualifications and experience; and other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position and/or geographic location. Certain work schedules may also be eligible for shift differential pay. This job will be posted for a minimum of 5 days.
