Job Purpose

The Shipping & Receiving Operator coordinates shipping documents and reconciles production reporting daily; prepares transport documents for out of country shipments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt, filing, and accuracy of shipping documents
• Prepare shipping documents, including out of country shipments; ensure required documents are accurately completed and maintained in an orderly file.
• Accurately and timely complete entries into BAAN/SAP.
• Create plan shipment documents.
• Provide backup coverage for Logistics Specialist and other department employees when assigned.
• Must be able to operate a lift truck and have or be able to obtain a forklift truck license.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED from an accredited institution and at least 1‑year experience in an administrative support role and/or shipping receiving position at a manufacturing facility or distribution center.
• Ability to use computer systems including MRP and MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in local language such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform mathematical functions, including add, subtract, multiply, divide, and interpret Pareto charts, bar graphs, flow charts, and other quality tools.

• This position will work in an office setting and has minimal physical demands.
• This position requires you to drive a company vehicle. Therefore, you must be able to pass the company’s driving requirements. Certain vehicles may also require a specific driver’s license and additional driving requirements.
