Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a professional driver to operate a commercial truck within the company fleet, delivering merchandise safely and on time while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies. The role requires a valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement, clean MVR, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial truck and provide safe, timely deliveries.
• Follow company policies and DOT regulations in execution of duties.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections per FMCSA regulations and company policy.
• Deliver merchandise to proper locations and verify freight bills and store locations.
• Secure loads, doors, and alarms before and after each stop.
• Take ownership of the DC target training program as a trainer.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job description

Operate a commercial truck in the company fleet and provide safe, timely, and quality deliveries. Follow company policies, procedures, and DOT regulations in execution of duties.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate a commercial truck in the company fleet and provide safe, timely, and quality deliveries. Follow company policies, procedures, and DOT regulations.
• Safe operation of any company vehicle and keep the inside clean.
• Run routes as designed by the company including the order of stops, direction of route, and roads used.
• Run routes in a reasonable amount of time, according to set guidelines.
• Complete daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections per FMCSA regulations 396.11 and O'Reilly policy, and track Hours of Service using telematics or paper logs.
• Deliver all merchandise to the proper location as per freight bill and verify the freight bill and store location sticker to ensure correct delivery.
• Verify all manifested returns and return them to the DC.
• Secure the load, all doors, and alarms before and after each stop.
• Run any route as needed or required by supervisor.
• Take ownership of the DC target training program as a trainer, ensuring training is conducted on schedule and documentation is complete.
• All other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities

Required

• Working knowledge of DOT regulations, logbook, and vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a clean MVR at all times and a valid DOT physical status.
• Must pass pre‑employment and random drug and alcohol tests.
• Must possess a current Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
• Must maintain the ability to work flexible hours.

Desired

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Previous electric pallet jack experience.
• Advanced mechanical abilities.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
