Ideal candidates will have experience in DC power installations and a background in telecommunications. Job description

Multiple full-time openings are available for Level 2-4 Installation Technicians with heavy DC power backgrounds to join a state-of-the-art organization in the network and telecommunications industry. Network Installation Technicians Responsibilities

Ensure installations are completed on time and within budget

• Perform power and grounding installation on equipment and small power plants
• Responsible for maintaining and providing emergency support on power electronic systems
• Perform design reviews focused on commissioning, create commissioning test procedures/reports and oversee onsite testing
• Participate in emergency response, preventive maintenance, equipment start-up and field modifications
• Perform hardware additions and/or upgrades along with basic AC and DC wiring installations
• Prepare installation procedures and conduct installation meetings; as required

Qualifications

• Please DO NOT APPLY unless you have a minimum of 2-5+ years of experience (Depending on level) in a Central Office Telecommunications or Cable Power Plant Installation setting with a strong background specifically focused on flooded batteries and 6000 amp DC power installation
• Experienced with power plants as well as 12V and 2V batteries
• Accustomed to reading power plant voltages
• Well-versed in providing leadership and mentorship to crew members
• Strong material management and field service report experience
• Broad knowledge of the cable and/or telephone equipment system industry including engineering and installation of ironwork, common systems, transport/facilities, digital switch, etc.
• Experienced with UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) with brands including Powerware and APC a plus
