The New York Post is seeking a Washington Correspondent to join our DC team and cover the fast-moving world of Washington politics. The reporter will break exclusive stories, expose behind-the-scenes actions, and deliver sharp, authoritative coverage of how decisions in the capital affect readers.

Requirements include seven years of newsroom reporting with a focus on DC or political coverage, experience writing about the White House and Congress, and the ability to cultivate sources and deliver

• Seven years of newsroom reporting experience with a focus on DC or political coverage.
• Experience writing about the White House and Congress and building sources within the Trump administration.
• Proven ability to break news, cultivate sources, and deliver original, high-impact reporting.
• Strong editorial judgment and writing skills under tight deadlines.
• Experience using digital tools, FOIA, and open-source reporting techniques.
• On-camera experience and comfort presenting stories across platforms strongly preferred.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours as news demands.

• Use public records, FOIA requests, and social media to surface and verify stories.
