Job summary

Menasha Corporation is seeking a DC Operations Manager to oversee distribution center functions, on-site and off-site. You will plan, organize, and optimize material flow, inventory control, shipping, and WMS management to drive efficiency.

You will coordinate procurement, scheduling, and performance improvements while guiding a team to meet service metrics and customer demand. Travel and collaboration with Supply Chain will be essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 5-10 years of relevant work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or logistics.
• 2-5 years of experience in a plastics or fabrication environment.
• 5%-10% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of plant supply chain, including inventory control, shipping, and receiving, production scheduling and procurement.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Troubleshoot WMS issues by identifying root causes and prioritizing issues for resolution.
• Serve as liaison between operations and Supply Chain Management.
• Assist in designing processes related to WMS projects, testing and implementation benchmarks.
• Oversee inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse activity for distribution center.
• Oversee procurement and scheduling to meet service metrics and customer demands.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to improve inventory accuracy and capacity utilization.
• Manage plant inventory investments, including obsolescence, turns, and stock levels.
• Maintain shipping/receiving functions to optimize flow across on-site and off-site warehouses.
• Oversee master planning data and purchase requisitions/change requests from customers, plants, and suppliers.
• Assist Plant Manager in planning and managing distribution center budget and staffing.

About The Opportunity

The DC Operations Manager will manage all aspects of the distribution center functions (on-site and off-site) including day to day planning, organizing, and operations to ensure maximum material flow and WMS management efficiency.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of plant supply chain, including inventory control, shipping, and receiving, production scheduling and procurement.
• Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the overall performance of the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Execute and troubleshoot WMS related issues by identifying root cause of system failures impacting operations, including escalation to appropriate parties, and prioritizing outstanding issues.
• Serves as a liaison between operations and Supply Chain Management.
• Assists in process designs as they relate to WMS projects, testing and validation, and implementation benchmarks.
• Directly oversee the inventory control, shipping, receiving, & warehouse activity for distribution center
• Oversee the execution of procurement and scheduling to ensure service metrics and customer demands are met.
• Identify, manage, and implement continuous improvement projects to ensure inventory accuracy and capacity utilization for raw materials, finished goods, and stock inventory.
• Manage plant inventory investments including liquidating obsolete inventory, monitoring, and improving inventory turns and management of stock levels.
• Maintain and implement appropriate shipping and receiving functions to optimize flow while facilitating a working warehouse and off-site warehouse, when applicable.
• Manage and oversee all master planning data.
• Manage and oversee the process of purchase requisitions and change requests from customers, plants, and suppliers.
• Assist Plant Manager in planning and managing financial aspects of distribution center operating budget and expenses, including staffing needs and productivity to maintain cost-efficient operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
