Job summary

American Tire Distributors is seeking an Area Manager to oversee daily distribution center operations, ensuring safety, quality and timely loading/unloading of goods for our broad customer base. You will drive standard work, coordinate with management, and lead teams to meet production goals.

You will supervise associates across shifts, conduct daily huddles, mentor staff, and manage equipment and inventory controls while upholding ATD values and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School or GED degree.
• 5 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion safe working conditions and promote safe operation of equipment.
• Conduct daily huddles to communicate work expectations and foster engagement.
• Coordinate warehousing activities and provide logistics tracking updates.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental policies.
• Onboard, coach, motivate and evaluate associates; address performance issues with HR guidance.
• Maintain facility and equipment; manage inventory and warehouse control systems.
• Direct labor planning and execution for loading/unloading and order picking across shifts.
• Lead warehousing activities to meet daily production goals and quality delivery.
• Recruit, select, train and mentor associates for growth within the center.
• Supervise records for receipt, storage and distribution of items in the center.
